I'm so glad I can't carry a bottle of water onto the airplane.
Also: I smuggled pepper spray past TSA on my most recent flights when I forgot to take it off my key chain.

The 17 Bottles Of project began with Urs and Sig and a bunch of other people in 1999. Unfortunately, the original, in a blue spiral notebook, has vanished. It was a fun project, though, so we're starting over. Hopefully this one will be a bit harder to misplace.
2011 UPDATE: Word on the streets is that the J.Mo. has located the notebook and has it in her possession. We'd love to see it some day...

They searched my bag in San Diego because there was a candle in a metal container
On our way to Cancun for our honeymoon I got to go to a special room and was felt up because my metal underwire bra set the alarms off and they wanted to make sure I wasn't smuggling guns or knives under there!
Funny airport story: on that same honeymoon trip we arrived at the airport in Cancun - anyone ever been there knows it's not the nicest. And you had to put your finger in this thing and press a button. (The 'random' bag checker button) Jacob, being deathly afraid of needles, thought it was a finger prick test and was freaking out :) Too funny - best part is he was luging the heaviest largest piece of our luggage and he set the alarm off to get our bag randomly destroyed!
